31 Weeks and 2 Days!

We have made it to 31 weeks and 2 days and are hanging in there. We had a fun little photoshoot today with my friend Kristen Sheehan. We grew up one street over from eachother and she was so sweet to come down to piedmont to photograph my belly. Her link is http://www.kristinleighphotography.com/ -so all of my pregnant and engaged friends and those friends who are mom's-check her out, she does amazing work! We should have some proofs in about a week and I can't wait to share them.

I have had some awesome visitors this past week and it has gone by so fast. My pal Jenny Coleman came by to bring me lunch on Friday and we had a great time catching up. My Mom-in-law stopped by too and she was telling me all about the wedding planning that she and Jessica have been doing. I am so excited for October. I got to go wedding dress shopping with Jess right before I was "locked up" and she is going to be such a gorgeous bride! Yay! Bill and I are both in the wedding and we can't wait!! Jessica, my sis-in-law, she works at Piedmont and comes by to spend her lunch hour with me and we have so much fun. Two wonderful ladies from my mom's bible study also came by this weekend to visit me and my mom. Linda and Barbara came all the way down from Braselton and we had the nicest visit. My mom is lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful spiritual women in her cute neighborhood.

Lins and Trishy came by on Saturday morning and we had so much fun. It's so funny having friends for 26 years, you never ever run out of things to talk about. Alli R also visited me last Wednesday. We are so used to having our weekly lunches and she has been so good to come by and keep up our lunch dates. All of these guys have little ones and are so sweet to take the time to come down to Piedmont. I am so honored to have friends who are so caring. Mary Lou and Carlton Collins stopped by today for a visit this afternoon. They are the best and always make me laugh.

Mimi and Pop Pops have been so great about visiting me. Pop Pops makes sure to come by every week to check on little Baker. My mom has been a dream come true and has done SO much for us. She stayed with me a few times this week and took great care of me. She also made Spaghetti Pie-Awesome! She went shopping for me to help me find something to wear for our photoshoot-I gave her my credit card and sent her on her way. She had some of the salespeople try the things on and she texted the pictures to me so that I could "shop". haha! Thanks Mommie!

Little Baker has had a very interesting weekend. His heart rate dips are starting to become more frequent and I have been put back on constant monitoring. The doctors say that if the dips start to become more frequent, then we might have to deliver...eeks! It is very scary because there is so little that mommie can do to get his heart rate to go back up. That is hard to take. The nurses come in to flip me over (moo) and that usually helps but if that doesn't work, they will give me an oxygen mask and then...if that doesn't work, its the OR here we come. But little one always seems to recover so well and when his heart rate comes up he starts acting like nothing happened. So that is GREAT! Usually, when a baby has a dip like that, they look for the baby to act lethargic because of the stress that he is going through...but nothing seems to phase our Baker. He is in shape! Our Ultrasound on Thursday (sorry for taking so long to update) :-) was great. My fluid was up to 7.5!!! Wow, the highest we have had. My IV was removed on Wednesday afternoon and that always seems to make my fluid levels higher...so I am anxious to see how it looks tomorrow. I try to drink and drink and hope its enough to stay very hydrated.

Bill has been so wonderful this entire time. He has been so positive and we have been making the best of this little adventure. He went to visit the NICU today, just in case little baby has to be in there. I am supposed to get another round of steroids tomorrow to help progress Baker's lungs. It was going to be on Friday, but with the way this past weekend has gone, they are going to do it a bit earlier. We also might talk to the Neonatologist as well. We have progressed so much since the last time we spoke at 28 weeks. They will be able to offer a good idea of what we will be dealing with if we were to deliver this week or next. February 11th is still a goal of mine-that will be 34 weeks. But every day that goes by is another great day!

We are back on our Monday/Thursday Ultrasound schedule, so we will get to see little baby tomorrow. Praying for a good fluid number and that Baker's bloodflow looks great. We get to measure him again on Thursday and I can't wait to see how much he has grown. Until then...Keep Baking, Baker! We love you!
